Audience feedback for “The Orphanage”

Following the discovery that the distributors had not delivered the film we had intended to show (Loving Vincent) to the Cramphorn Theatre, it was fortunate that we, the Committee, had decided to make the collection of disks that we had built up over the past few years available to members to borrow.  As a consequence, we were able to show a film from 10 years ago – the Spanish Ghost story, “The Orphanage”.  There were 10 reaction slips returned following the screening of this film.  The results were:

  • ‘Excellent’: 2 votes
  • ‘Very Good’: 5 votes
  • ‘Good’: 1 vote
  • ‘Satisfactory’: 1 vote
  • ‘Poor’: 0 votes
  • + 1 comment without a grade

hometown of painter van Gogh to deliver the troubled artist’s final letter and ends up investigating
his last days.  An intriguing, impressive and accomplished work of cinema.  (Read more…)
