Twenty-nine year old Tokyo office worker Kumiko leads a dull, frustrated and oppressed existence. Rare joy comes from watching a grainy VHS tape of Fargo, particularly the burying of a satchel of money in snowy Minnesota. Then there’s her pet rabbit, Bunzo. When she can stand no more, she embarks on a journey to find the ‘treasure’. A beguiling fable, tragic and uplifting by turns.
A haunting, fantasy adventure for the ages in one of this century’s most breathtaking independent films.
