UK – Documentary/Biography/Drama – Year: 2018 – Running time: 96 mins
Languages: English
Synopsis:
Three identical triplets are separated at birth and only become aware of each others’ existence when aged 19. This remarkable, and shocking, BAFTA award-winning documentary disturbingly explores ideas about ‘nurture’ over ‘nature’. What started as a feel-good news story in Reagan’s America becomes something much darker and more complex when the boys’ adoptive parents question why they were separated, ‘robbed’ of much of their own existence.
It’s a story that delights and infuriates. It raises questions about justice and ethics, makes cases on both sides of the nature-versus-nurture argument, and draws parallels between what happened to the boys a few short decades ago.
