- Never seen a film like this! Husband & I knew there’d be violence & we might need to leave; but we had to stay, it’s so powerful. There are people living like this, now. Thank you, Film Club
- Amazing view of Ukrainian village life.
- Engrossing, atmospheric and visceral; incredible carnival scenes – memorable!
- A good ‘cinematic’ experience – “gutwrenching” as one member of the audience told me!
- ‘Very Good’: 4 votes
- Interesting insight into another world. More than 30 years after the fall of the Soviet Union, nothing much has changed; those in authority (clergy, police, politicians) are inherently corrupt and everyone else struggle to rise above serfdom.
- ‘Good’: 2 votes
- Creepy. Where worlds collide.
- On violent side for my tastes, but an engaging story. Found the end a little hard to believe.
- ‘Satisfactory’: 2 votes
- Disjointed.
- Bit too much for gore me. Strange set piece.
- ‘Poor’: 1 vote
- An awful film. Wish I’d stayed at home!
